Who We Are

The Nurse Connection Staffing Inc. was founded in 1987 and is locally owned in New York’s Capital Region with satellite offices throughout New York State. Nurse Connection Staffing (NCS) is a supplemental staffing agency providing highly skilled and trained Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. NCS works with clients to help staff long term and assisted living facilities, hospitals, medical offices, school districts, correctional institutions, government/not-for-profit and state agencies. We have Nurses for all your staffing needs!

Our Recruitment
& Hiring Process

From interview to offer of employment, The Nurse Connection Staffing is exacting in our efforts to assure we hire the most highly qualified staff to place in the facilities of our clients. Our steps include:

  • Pre-employment screening with a minimum of two employment reference verifications
  • Countywide, statewide and nationwide criminal history investigation
  • Pre-employment skills and knowledge testing
  • Free recertification of our current CNAs
  • Professional licensing verification and Nurse Assistant registry searches
  • Monthly exclusion screenings utilizing Federal and State databases, including specific databases referenced by OMIG
  • Comprehensive mock medication pass on RNs and LPNs
  • Annual training for our nurse staff and CNAs

Work Experience Required

The Nurse Connection Staffing strongly believes that to be successful in our mission we are only able to hire experienced employees to place at the facilities of our clients. Therefore, we require:

RN and LPN candidates must have: 1-year experience passing medication and doing treatments at a long-term facility within the past 36 months; current NYS nursing license; CPR certification; all medical requirements including PPD and physical (within the past year); Rubella and Rubeola (vaccinations or titer results)

CNA candidates must have: Six consecutive full time months of experience at a long-term care facility within the past year; current NYS CNA certification card before applying; all medical requirements including PPD and physical (within the past year); Rubella and Rubeola (vaccinations or titer results)

Our Staffing Procedures

All shifts are confirmed with our clients and then confirmed with our staff. Our Staffing Specialists are on duty locally 24/7/365, to respond and keep our clients updated in meeting the shift needs. Our staffing team is professional and skilled at booking shifts for our clients. They understand the importance of speed and accuracy.

The Nurse Connection Staffing has a Clinical Manager on duty 24/7/365 for immediate counseling of our staff if needed. We perform re-education as required to keep all staff in compliance with the needs of our clients. We also re-certify our Certified Nursing Assistants and provide continuing education for all staff members.
