With three decades of experience, Nurse Connection Staffing has earned a well-deserved reputation for exceptional customer service. If a nursing need exists, it stands ready to help.

As providers of supplemental personnel, Nurse Connection Staffing, or NCS, aims to make life easier for those who find themselves short-handed for a day or for the foreseeable future. People continue to notice its quality work, too. For example, NCS was honored in 2017 with the Central New York Business Journal Excellence in Healthcare Award. That is but one of many testaments to the high level of service the organization consistently provides.

“Our goal at Nurse Connection Staffing is to provide high-quality nursing service, which is delivered by our compassionate, experienced, and knowledgeable staff,” says Michele Ruggiero, director of operations. “We maintain an open line of communication with our sta members and clients to identify and satisfy the needs of both, and to maximize the level of care for patients we serve. We are reliable; you can count on us.”

Founded in 1987, Nurse Connection Staffing offers the on-demand services of skilled certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and registered nurse supervisors. The agency also provides specialty nurses—including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, operating room and emergency room nurses, cardiac nurses, and pediatric nurses—on an as-needed basis. Its clients include nursing homes, doctors’ o ces, long-term care and assisted-living facilities, hospitals and professional offices, as well as schools, clinics and correctional facilities.

Nurse Connection Staffing expanded four years ago from its headquarters in Albany, opening a regional office in Syracuse. NCS also has served the Rochester region proudly for the past three years, moving further west to Buffalo in 2018.

Not content to rest on its laurels, Nurse Connection Staffing has invested funds to help staff enhance clinical training skills. In addition, its extensive clinical education department allows the nurses to successfully tackle any situation. The agency also provides annual unique and adapted hands-on training to give each sta member a personalized way to review his or her competencies. This effort goes above and beyond what is required by the New York State Health Department.

“We want to provide high-quality care, all while having our employees blend in with the staff that we are assisting,” says Charles Harkola, director of marketing and sales. “Our priority is to help other organizations care for their patients as seamlessly as possible.”
